Reverse the Signs of Aging or Discolorations

So here you have it... You're in your 30's and you start to see discolorations of your skin and noticing differences as a result from all the sun exposure you had in your 20's. Rodan + Fields uses UV Camera technology to see the damage not visible to the naked eye. The UV Camera show's damage in the layers beneath your skin so they can determine what lies ahead.

1. The more you lay out in the Sun the faster your skin is going to age. Earlier than you would like! Sun damage is cumulative and you're not going to see effects overnight.
You may be focusing on one brown spot, but you won't be underlying the issue that's looming underneath the surface of your skin.
 2. Once discoloration is present it is often permanent, unless treated, and will only get darker with continued sun exposure.

3. "Brown Spots" are benign but they are, in fact, a a result of excessive sun exposure. It can be a risk for skin cancer later

What About Scabs>??

Post Inflammatory Hyper-pigmentation are the nasty scars you get from bad experiences. Waxing, acne, bad reactions, or some other type of cut to your skin.

If you happen to get a minor injury make sure to apply a topical ointment and cover it with a bandage. If you don't provide your body the protection it needs, it will do it for you... as a scab! These marks are permanent forming an unnatural tattoo.
A wound that is moist and covered will heal much more beautifully then if left to take it's natural course
The Best approach to treating hyper-pigmentation is to exfoliate, lighten and brighten, and protect

Step 1: Exfoliate
   * Look for gentle cleansing grains (AHA's alpha hydroxy acids, acetyl glucosamine, or retinol)
   * This is a great way we can help our skin look younger than it really is. You're just assisting your skin with cell turnover. Cell turnover decreases as we age and so it's important for us to keep it going so we can keep our fresh look. Your skin will look a million times better, and will be lighter and brighter.

Step 2 and 3: Lighten and Brighten
   * Hydroquinone is the ingredient used to apply after exfoliation that lightens the skin. (It's FDA recognized to lighten abnormal discoloration) The liquid lightening ingredient will be able to interrupt the enzyme involved in the production of excess pigment.
   * The cream will prolong treatment for further results

Step  4: Protect
   * Very important to protect! The UVA radiation will be triggering more pigment to be released as you are trying to slow it down. Zinc Oxide, Avobenzone, or Mexoryl is a must, during the time you are treating your skin, if you want to keep the pigmentation from returning.

By using this regimen it can take you anywhere from 2-6 months to treat your skin. Email me at Lipanovichshelly@yahoo.com if you'd like more information or would like to take a Skin Consultation.
